Kristin Ranjo-Haase
Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist

Trying to summarize my experience and interests in a way that reads well causes my brain to glitch-out so here is a bulleted list in order of what comes to mind:

  • I was a play-based preschool teacher before entering this field. My "first love" is early childhood development and education.

    • BS in Human Development and Family Studies from Colorado State University (Go Rams!)

  • I'm a first-generation American and I hold my Filipino heritage very close to my heart. Growing up Filipino at home and American in the world is an experience that has shaped me and continues to influence my identity, relationships, and perspective.

  • I have ADHD (hence the list)

  • MA in Marriage and Family Therapy from Touro University, Magna Cum Laude (contrary to the stigma around ADHD)

  • Yoga

  • Potato chips, all kinds

  • In addition to credibility, I believe that the title of "licensed therapist" is a reflection of privilege, to have access to the education, training, and opportunities that led me here. The systemic barriers were low enough for me to overcome them; this is not the case for everybody. The title reflects knowledge and insight earned, but also a system that allowed me to succeed. I find it important to acknowledge both.

  • If you're still reading this, kudos.

  • I'm happy you're here.
